Sadly, Dave Snodgrass passed away last Wednesday. Dave was a former Brading Town player.
On behalf of all at Brading Town FC, I would like to pass our condolences to his wife Joan and family.
Players and supporters from back in the day, would remember Dave as a very good footballer, who spent some time playing for BTFC. He was also a very good clubman.
Dave, also put in many hours at Vicarage Lane, helping to reduce the ” notorious slope ” of many years ago.
He was a proper football man, and personally speaking, he was a gent and a pleasure to know, RIP Dave.
From All at BTFC, RIP.

Brading Town Colts Under 14s, are delighted to have had their new Training Jackets sponsored by Phillips Book- Keeping.
Club Chairman Mark Powell said, “ Mr. Phillips has been a great supporter of our Club for a number of years. Sponsoring the team is extremely generous.
The players have already felt the benefit of the jackets, waterproof qualities in recent weeks! ”

Specialist Course for Coach
The Colts are pleased to announce that we have our first FA Level 2 qualified Goalkeeping Coach.
Mark POWELL achieved a ‘ Good Pass ’ …..after an intensive 3 day course, which culminated in two observed practical exams.
Mark said, “ This course is not often offered, as coaches also need a Level 2 outfield qualification to apply. I was set this as a challenge by my Level 1 GK assessor and decided to take the opportunity.
It featured further technical detail of goalkeeping defensive work, such as taking crosses and dealing with 1-on-1s, it also showed how the keeper organises the defence. The second observed session, was based on the Goalkeeper being the ‘ first line of attack ’ as well as the ‘ last line of defence ’, through distribution and playing out from the defensive unit.”
“Once again, tutor Keith Granger, who has worked with Premier League and England goalkeepers, was a real inspiration and to be praised on my sessions, was a real confidence boost.”
Brading Town FC are delighted to announce the signings of Ross Lacey and Cameron Farley.
Ross, an attacking forward, has signed following spells at East Cowes Vics and Vectis Nomads. He is very quick and has already scored for the reserves.
Cameron has signed Island League forms for us, he is still very much, a big part of Newport’s First Team squad. One of the top keepers on the Island, he has signed as cover for Andy Payne and also to get games under his belt when possible.
Both players are available for this Saturday’s Challenge Cup 1/4 final at Niton.
I would like to welcome them both to the club and look forward to seeing them play for the Romans.
I hope to announce a couple more signings soon.
